imarket, an electronic trading platform for the broker channel will launch as a pilot programme in November. A full version will go live in December, with a further 150 brokers joining the service.

imarket is backed by Allianz, Cornhill, AXA, Groupama, Norwich Union, Royal & SunAlliance and Zurich.

Martin McLachlan, managing director of Polaris said the launch was a month later than planned because of an extended testing programme.

The delayed launch will not affect the planned road shows to launch imarket, the company said.

The company said it would concentrate on increasing broker trading after the Christmas break.
