Electronic platform imarket is to launch a multi-insurer commercial quotation service.

The service is to be launched in mid May and is timed to coincide with enhancements to the imarket quote data capture forms.

imarket said the changes would make navigation and data entry easier and would allow brokers to save a copy of the quote submission locally.

Polaris marketing and strategy manager Phil Nunn said the changes would make the job of submitting quotes much easier for brokers. “The forms enhancements mean they can also reload quote information and amend or re-submit it if needed”.

He continued: “Broker feedback from the road shows and from those now using imarket has been very clear. Top of the list has been to provide them with a commercial quotation service and importantly, to secure a number of insurers able to quote for each product available with a defined response time.”

Nunn said the new commercial quote facility was one of a number of new services planned for 2004 in direct response to broker feedback.
