Polaris has concluded negotiations with four software companies over how they will integrate with the online trading platform, imarket.

Polaris marketing and strategy manager Phil Nunn said that it has agreed terms for integration with Misys, Software Solutions Partners, InsurE-com and CDL.

He said the negotiations, which commenced in May, had been concluded "very satisfactorily".

Nunn said discussions were still ongoing with Acturis, Sirius and Sectornet, but he hoped these would conclude shortly.

Polaris is now moving to "detailed integration planning" with the four software providers it has agreed terms with.

Nunn said the first commercial products should begin testing by the software houses, via imarket, in October.

Nunn said: "We have agreed a schedule of initial products with insurers and software houses, focusing on quote and new business functions."

The integration involves connecting broker and insurer systems to imarket, which will remove the need for broker rekeying.
