Worthing based Argyll Insurance Group has acquired Sittingbourne insurance broker and independent financial adviser Edward Jones and Associates.
This is Argyll's second acquisition in Kent having bought Herne Bay broker, Pharon Insurance (SE) Limited in 2002. Argyll now employs 60 staff in three locations.
Edward Jones & Associates founder, Ted Jones said: "There are many reasons why joining Argyll made such good sense. Perhaps the main issue is the necessity for insurance brokers of the future to have the infrastructure to deal with the complex regulatory, technical, training and quality management issues expected of them, whilst maintaining a keen focus upon customer service.
