National Car Rental (NCR) has agreed to extend its six-year emergency assistance contract with RAC Motoring Services for another 18 months. The RAC currently provides emergency assistance to NCR's fleet of 30,000 rental vehicles in the UK, but with the extension this will include NCR customers travelling in Europe. NCR also supplies up to 40,000 replacement vehicles to RAC members whose cars suffer a mechanical breakdown.

NIG is offering a screen-driven household product for brokers with a New Millennium Technology (NMT) quotation system. Advantage Select offers £40,000 cover for contents, a family legal protection option and a no claims discount. Adrian Harris, NIG assistant general manager for personal lines, said introducing Advantage Select on to its NMT system showed the insurer's commitment to brokers.
Interactive site for yacht cover
Yachtsure, part of the Alleghany syndicate 376, has launched an interactive website for approved brokers. The site, yachtsureinteractive.com, enables brokers to obtain a quote in minutes, bind immediately, receive monthly statements and report claims. Policy wordings can be viewed alongside the quotation. It caters for boats valued up to $3m (£2.1m), accepts risks worldwide (apart from the US) and operates in 16 different currencies.
