Rising like a phoenix from the ashes, Independent Insurance had a day of glory again recently.
A team of ex-Independent employees named Ex-Indie, consisting of Neal Lumb, Jason Parker, Colin Bruchez, Stewart Gardiner and Paul Branch, won a five-a-side football tournament for insurers and brokers. Twelve teams contested the tournament, organised by the Birmingham Insurance Institute Young Members and Daniel Musson of Reed Insurance Selection. Ex-Indie beat Ingham & Co 1-0 in the final to win the Peter White Trophy, established in memory of Peter White, a member of the Wolverhampton Insurance Institute and a five-a-side fan. The teams raised £120 for charity.
The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
