A UK Flood Forum will be held in London on Tuesday November 5.

It is a Munters initiative and will be held under the auspices of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Insurance and Financial Services.

Munters provides the insurance industry with a response service for domestic and commercial fire and water damages and leak detection.

The company has invited the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (CILA), the Society of Fellows of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), the Association of British Insurers (ABI) and the British Damage Management Association (BDMA) to attend the forum.

Munters¹ director Alasdair Phillips announced this move in a speech this week at the industry conference Climate Change: An Insurance Perspective.

He said: "In the face of government inertia, an inadequate flood defence system, global warming and an increasingly disgruntled general public, it is now time for the UK insurance industry to join forces and act to help itself."

He said the UK insurance industry and its entire supplier network was being urged to join forces at times of flood claims surges to minimise the cost and turmoil caused by the after effects of mass flooding. He said this was to the benefit of householders and insurers alike.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
