Dogtag Insurance, an internet travel insurance company, has created a personalised dogtag system for its travel insurance policyholders.
Each dogtag has details of the customer's travel insurance policy and provides access to their medical history.
The company said the system was aimed at simplifying emergency access to medical treatment, by help to ensure that each client has their policy details with them, as well as giving confirmation that a patient was insured.
Every dogtag is engraved with the policyholder's name, an emergency phone number for medical assistance, and an internet address containing personal medical details such as blood group and any medical conditions.
