Five teams will now specialise in industry specific areas
The Forum of Insurance Lawyers has restructured its member-led focus groups to align more closely with the insurance industry’s operational structure.
The five teams will now specialise in personal injury, financial lines, policy coverage, self-insured corporations and cross-sector issues.
Foil president Dan Cutts said: “By focusing on groups whose interests more closely mirror the different classes of insurance written by insurers and more of the issues faced by insurance lawyers generally, Foil aims to make itself more valuable to defendant lawyers and insurers alike.”
“The mission and focus of our previous special interest groups had become less certain with the passing of time,” he added.
Each team will identify key topics and issues of most importance to their specific area. They will examine and argue any case for change and be in the frontline of formulating Foil’s official policy and response to relevant government or industry consultations.
