Insurance software provider InsurE-com has won the E-Commerce Award at the Computer Weekly E-Business Excellence Awards 2001.
The award recognises the best use of e-business technology to sell products to customers.
The judges said: "InsurE-com was the first company to deliver real-time insurance data to brokers over the internet.
"The service has already been adopted by more than 20 insurers - beating business targets - and 1,200 brokers, more than a fifth of the UK's broker community."
