InsurE-com confirmed it is to close its second biggest support office, based in Birmingham, from July 2004. Last month it was announced they would be centralising support services in its Brighton centre.

Of the approximately 20 staff working at the office, two will be made redundant, with the remaining support staff working from home. Additional staff will be employed in the Brighton office, said the company.

The Birmingham office was primarily used to support InsurE-com's TAM product.

InsurE-com said the second TAM hub would remain in Birmingham to continue business continuity provisions.

It said the restructuring would allow better call centre resource and deployment.
