Insurance system provider insurE-com has taken over the distribution, support and development rights of The Agency Manager (TAM) system in the UK.

InsurE-com, which took over the rights from software house CSC, has entered into an exclusive partnership with the US software provider for TAM, Applied Systems.

The news follows the termination by Applied Systems of its current deal with CSC, which recently sold its intermediary division to newly formed Software Solutions Partners (SSP).

An insurE-com statement said the move would give the UK intermediaries who used TAM an alternative as the Quotel system was withdrawn.

It added that brokers would also now have the ability to receive comparative quotations in real time. This is achieved by the integration of the product with insurE-com's Industry Portal.

The deal passes responsibility for all future sales, distribution, support and maintenance of the TAM product to insurE-com, including obligations under the client support contracts previously with CSC. All new support calls should now be made to insurE-com's help desk number (01273 852100).
