Online insurance broker Insure.com has registered 278 new intermediaries since the British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba) conference, bringing its total to 1,200 – about 25% of the high street intermediary market.
The gross written premium for registered intermediaries ranges from £0.5m through to large intermediary groups that control in excess of £100m accounts.
Chris Newman, Insure.com's business development manager, said: “Orders for Insure.office have increased rapidly and we are in discussions with a large number of organisations.
“I believe we now hold a leading position within the market and have overtaken our main competition.”
Supplied free to Insure.com-registered intermediaries, Insure.office provides access for intermediaries to comparative quotations from participating insurers.
Insure.com was set up in 1999 and provides a range of business-to-business systems for insurers and intermediaries.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
