ABI set to plug loophole that allows insured drivers to reclaim cars for the uninsured, according to a report...
Insurers are set to put a stop to uninsured drivers using an insurance loophole to reclaim cars which have been impounded, according to The Times.
Currently, wording in insurance policies allows for insured drivers to collect impounded cars on behalf of uninsured drivers. However, according to the report, the ABI plans to alter the wording of policies to remove this.
The revised policy wording is due to be published this week, and will be applied to all renewed policies.
