IPRS has struck a deal with Manchester United Football Club to conduct independent testing on its high-risk players that is designed to give insurers the ability to take on more informed risks.
The three-year contract will give IPRS time to gain more comprehensive coverage for players, it said.
The rehabilitation specialist said it uses objective techniques to assess player injuries and report to the insurer on the extent of the risk.
