The Institute of Risk Management (IRM) has appointed Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA) senior manager Steve Fowler as its new full-time executive director.
Fowler is on secondment from R&SA for 15 months. He replaced David Ovenden, who had been acting chief executive since last summer.
Ovenden replaced Maureen Gibbons, who recently settled out of court with the IRM over allegations of constructive dismissal and sexual discrimination.
IRM chairman Mark Butterworth said the appointment was an "excellent vote of support for the IRM from Royal & SunAlliance".
