Business consultancy Practiv is set to offer software integration to general insurers.
The company is set to offer a 'straight through processing system' which can complete customer applications.
Practiv is hoping to deliver straight through processing between brokers, customer-facing applications, underwriters and back office administration at general insurers.
Consultancy director Richard Pugh said: "We are not trying to aggressively market to general insurers for a few months yet.
"Many of the ideas that originated in general insurance were emulated in the life side but have subsequently been greatly improved to the point where general insurers would now benefit from expertise at the forefront of advances in the life market."
