Casella named Chubb’s global alternative markets field officer
US insurer Chubb Group has named Jalil Rehman as chief executive of its UK-based Chubb Europe operation.
He replaces Michael Casella, who has been given the new position of Chubb’s global alternative markets field officer.
Rehman has worked at Chubb for 24 years and has led Chubb’s international claims operations for the past nine years.
Before that, he was UK and Ireland claims manager.
In his new role at the helm of Chubb Europe he will be based in London and report to international field operations manager Chris Giles.
Giles said: “Jalil Rehman is a highly regarded insurance practitioner and has gained extensive exposure to clients and brokers in his time in the industry, providing him with a valuable market perspective.
“He brings a unique set of skills to the European CEO position, and we are excited that Chubb Europe will be benefiting from his strong leadership.”
Commenting on Cassella’s new appointment, Chubb global field officer and chief administrative officer Harold Morrison said: “We appreciate Michael’s excellent work in leading Chubb Europe over the past five years. We are pleased that Chubb will be benefiting from his leadership and extensive international experience.”
