JLT has picked up the insurance broking contract for the South East and Eastern Region Police Insurance Consortium (SEERPIC).

SEERPIC, which represents a total of 12 police authorities, has appointed JLT Public Sector Risks on an initial three-year contract.

Simon Redman, chairman of the SEERPIC management board, said: "The last twelve months have been very successful ones for SEERPIC. One year ago we secured the runners-up spot in the Alarm Strategic Risk Category Award and in the intervening period, have celebrated our 10th anniversary and increased our membership.

"We are now looking forward to building on our achievements of the last ten years and believe that the appointment of JLT Public Sector Risks will be a catalyst for future success."

Julia Reffell, executive director with responsibility for management of JLT Public Sector Risks said: "We are both delighted and honoured to be appointed as insurance brokers to the SEERPIC consortium and its members.

"The police sector is highly specialised with a unique risk profile and we look forward to repaying SEERPIC's confidence in our ability to provide a first class service to their members."
