Jardine Lloyd Thompson has won a contract to broker construction insurance for London's new Olympic Stadium, according to reports.
Senior industry sources said JLT had trumped rival bids from Heath Lambert, Aon, Willis and Marsh in gaining the exclusive right to arrange cover for the £400m construction project.
Reports said it was understood that the Olympic Delivery Authority, the government body set up to create the infrastructure for the 2012 London Olympics, awarded the contract to JLT late last week.
At 12.15pm, shares in the broker were up 1p to 378p. JLT was not immediately available for comment.
