Chief executive of Aurora Corporate Services Ken Blanc is to stand down from the company. He will officially leave on 30 April.
His decision comes after Capita Insurance Services bought Aurora, the company set up to manage the Independent Insurance run-off, on 17 February 2003.
Blanc was appointed chief executive of Aurora by the provisional liquidator of Independent Insurance, PricewaterhouseCoopers.
His brief was to establish an organisation capable of managing the Independent contract while developing Aurora's commercial potential.
According to Capita, Blanc had always said that he would want to seek a new set of challenges once the sale and subsequent integration had been completed.
Capita Insurance Services managing director William Dye said: "We would like to thank Ken for the significant contribution he has made to the smooth transition of Aurora into Capita Insurance Services. We wish Ken the very best for the future."
