Kiln, the specialist Lloyd's insurance group, will today announce a premium income across its managed syndicates of £436.3m, 6% up from £410.5m at the same time last year.

Speaking at the company's general meeting, chairman Nick Cosh will also announce total rating levels of 98.4% of the equivalent price 12 months ago.

At 31 May 2005, Kiln had written 62% of its total capacity for the year, compared with 60% at the same time last year.

Cosh said in a statement: “The stable rating environment and the healthy level of premiums written, combined with the strong potential profits that we have in the pipeline, mean that our expectations for the year remain in line with analysts' forecasts under UK GAAP.”
