Heath Lambert hopes to strengthen its presence in Scotland after poaching ex-Marsh director Tom Ernoult.

Ernoult, who has been appointed managing director of Heath Lambert's UK regional network, was a key player in Marsh's regional strategy.

He said: "I want to change our operation across the UK from a collection of regional branch offices into a true national network, with a unified culture and operating under one vision.

Group managing director Adrian Colosso said: "We are also looking to strengthen our Scottish presence. Bringing Tom on board is a key step in making that happen. We have one or two more areas of the business that need further attention, but we have made progress in building this broker."

Heath Lambert announced recently that Dick Sturgeon, Paul Marketis and Rodney Ewen had left its marine team but Colosso said that it was committed to the marine market.

"We have had a bit of a clearing of the decks and said goodbye to a number of people who didn't feel they wanted to be a part of the organisation we are building," Colosso said.
