Legal & General's sale of protection products is up by 88% in the first half of this year, compared to the same period last year.

Annual premium sales of protection products like term assurance and critical illness were £70m in the first half of 2002, compared to £37.2m in the first half of last year.

The company claims this success was due to having "good value products, market leading e-business developments and lighter touch regulation for pure protection products".

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
