The largest independent travel intermediary Travel Protection Group (TPG)has been placed in administration.
TPG associate director Philip Watson confirmed the move was made yesterday and that there were a "number of potential purchasers interested in bits of the business".
Insurance Times reported last month that the company was in talks with interested parties with a view to restructure.
