Law firm adds six to insurance team

Law firm DWF has added six new partners to the insurance team at its London office.

They are Mark Whittaker, head of Weightmans’ London office, and his colleagues Innes Ebert, Perry Hill, Seema Jobanputra, Dan Mitchell and Carys Oatham. The team specialise in high-value defendant personal injury and property recovery work.

Mark Whittaker said: “DWF is an ambitious and innovative law firm. This is an exciting opportunity for us to help develop and enhance its existing insurance practice both within London and on a national level.”

DWF’s London office, its first outside the North of England, was launched in June 2008 with the arrival of catastrophic injury specialists Graham Dickinson and Claire Bowler from Davies Lavery. The latest arrivals bring the numbers at the London office to 40.

DWF managing partner Andrew Leaitherland said: “Between them the team have a wealth of expertise that will further enhance the DWF’s growing reputation for insurance work and raise our profile in the capital. Their experience in working with local authority clients will also give us a stronger presence within the public sector.”
