Two of Birmingham's oldest law firms, Putsmans and Wilcox Lane Clutterbuck, have merged to form Putsman.wlc, one of the largest insurance and personal injury legal teams in the Midlands.
The new firm has an annual turnover of approximately £10m per year and an insurance and professional indemnity (PI) team of 70 people including seven partners. Together, the team will cover employers' liability, public liability, PI, motor, disease, aviation, marine and cost work.
Putsman.wlc said the merger allowed it to offer its expertise, as professional advisers and solicitors, to insurance companies more cheaply.
