Legal expenses make up 60% of all UK employers' liability premiums, according to Airmic.
Speaking at the Airmic annual conference in Manchester, Airmic deputy chairman elect Peter Berring said: "Our research shows that in the majority of UK employers' liability classes legal expenses consume as much as 60% of premiums. You have to ask , 'is all the money going in legal fees adding value?' Almost certainly not."
