Lincoln Financial Group and Inter-Alliance Group Plc have reached an out-of-court settlement.

The companies have agreed to meet their own legal and court costs, with no additional settlement figure.

The litigation related to the ownership of Lincoln's head office in Gloucester and former operating centre at Uxbridge.

Lincoln managing director Michael Tallett-Williams said: "The agreement we have reached means that we can re-establish our partnership which was designed to bring mutual benefit for both businesses. We are both very glad that we have been able to reach settlement quickly in a business-like manner."

The Chairman and CEO of Inter-Alliance, Keith Carby, said he was delighted that the matter had been settled and he looked forward to the company putting the episode behind it.
