Liverpool Victoria has launched an online service offering motor insurance.
The move follows findings that people were put off shopping around for the best insurance deals because it was too time consuming to phone around insurance companies, according to a poll commissioned by the company.
The company said the new online service was a quick way of getting a quote, through both eliminating the need for phone calls and a cut in the number of questions asked when issuing a policy.
The ICM poll showed that nearly 65% of men and 50% of women were put off by the time needed to research insurance deals, and were therefore more likely to be paying more than necessary.
