Lloyd's has granted four new overseas brokers direct access to it.

The brokers are Mondialbrokers and WBA of Italy, Cresent Global Services of Bahrain and Naush, Hogan & Murray of the US.

The brokers place business in the Lloyd's market already, but formal accreditation will enable them to improve the efficiency with which they place their business in the market and advance relationships, according to Lloyd's.

Mondialbrokers chairman Guido Cairni commented on the benefits of accreditation: "The Lloyd's market is renowned for its ability to offer specialist and niche products. This move gives us more flexibility in delivering these to our clients. Accreditation will give us the chance to work more closely with a wider range of underwriters and further develop new solutions for our clients."
