The Lloyd's Building could be sold to Commerzbank in a deal worth £230m, reports said yesterday.

According to reports, a German fund, made up of private investors and sponsored by Commerzbank, has entered detailed discussions to purchase the landmark building from Deka Immobilien.

The building was attractive to investors because it offered a return on investment of 6.75%, reports said.

If the deal is successful, Deka is expected to make £50m after buying the property for £180m in 1996.
