Markel Syndicate 3000 has received a positive forecast from Lloyd's in its ratings up to the end of June 2003.
The figures predicted Markel International syndicate to be the sixth best performing group out of the 89 syndicates reporting for 2002.
It has an expected mid point return of 22.5% on capacity.
Finance director Andy Davies said: "This is an excellent performance from our Lloyd's syndicate, which reflects the impact of the strong underwriting disciplines that are central to the way Markel does business."
