Lloyd's has honoured two US brokers for their outstanding contribution to the Lloyd's market at the fifth annual Lloyd's US Broker Awards.
Garry Edwards of Hilb Rogal & Hobbs was named US Surplus Lines Broker of the Year and William Eyre of Towers Perrin, Reinsurance Broker of the Year at a ceremony hosted by Lord Levene in London.
The winners for 2005 were chosen for their achievements within the US industry and their exceptional contribution to the Lloyd's market.
Lord Levene, chairman of Lloyd's, said: “I would like to thank them for their dedication and contribution to the Lloyd's market over the past 25 years. These awards are designed to recognise the exceptional skills and expertise used within the market and there is no doubt that both Garry and Bill have successfully demonstrated this through the provision of tailored innovative solutions to their clients, not just in 2005, but throughout their careers.”
Lloyd's established the US Broker awards in 2002 to highlight the important role that brokers play in Lloyd's success in the US insurance and reinsurance markets.
