Contribution from Lloyd's syndicates to the market's Central Fund will be reduced in 2004, it has been announced.
The amount that the Lloyd's syndicates have to pay will drop to 1.25% from 2% for 2003.
The reduction indicates the financial strength of the current market, a Lloyd's spokeswoman said.
The overall market capacity exceeds £14bn.
