Illium Insurance is to introduce a specialist liability syndicate at Lloyd's that will commence underwriting for the 2004 year of account.
Syndicate ILM 4040 will offer third party liability, employers liability and ancillary insurances.
It will have a premium capacity of up to £100m for 2004.
Underwriter for the venture Denis Burniston commented: "Illium syndicate's core offering of third party and employers' liability is desgined to provide much needed professional capacity in an area where demand continues to outstrip supply."
