Lloyd's syndicate 2003 appoints active underwriter

Catlin Underwriting Agencies' Lloyd's syndicate 2003 has appointed Paul Brand as its active underwriter.

Brand will replace current active underwriter, Stephen Catlin.

Catlin said: "This appointment reflects not only Paul's underwriting and management record during his 16 years at CUAL, including the past 12 years as deputy underwriter, but it also reflects the tremendous growth that has taken place within the Catlin Group over the past two years.

"While I shall remain closely involved with our activities at Lloyds, Paul's appointment will allow me to devote more of my time to other activities within the Catlin Group, including the development of Catlin Insurance Company."
