Lloyd's of London is to take legal action against
insurance brokers Benfield and Aon over their role in placing a policy which triggered a high-profile court battle between the London insurance market and six insurers last year.
Lloyd's is seeking £325m in compensation from the two brokers, according to a spokesperson.
Lloyd's General Counsel, Sean McGovern said: "We are now actively pursuing this claim through the courts. This is not a decision which has been taken lightly."
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
