Education chiefs are facing a multi-million pound compensation bill from pupils who claim that schools failed to protect them from bullies.
More than 500 lawsuits are being prepared against schools over allegations they did not defend children against bullies.
According to The Observer almost every local education authority (LEA) has a case pending against them. LEAs now face a collective legal action of at least £8m, it said.
