The London P&I Club has urged its members to review security arrangements ahead of changes to the maritime administration convention, SOLAS.

The SOLAS convention is set to change in the wake of a recent international maritime security review. The convention defines each country's sea area and the services it provides to ships.

The call comes ahead of the introduction of a new international ship and port facility security (ISPS) code, which is set to amend member states duties under SOLAS.

In its latest news magazine, the club also said that the requirements affecting ship owners would depend on individual flag state procedures.
