A lucky escape from a potential advertising disaster has saved AXA hundreds, if not thousands of pounds.

The insurer ran an internal recruitment campaign to find some 'AXA stars' to feature in its national and internal advertising campaigns.

The number of candidates was whittled down to 40 and they then took part in a photo-shoot. Alas, one of the finalists has since left AXA to join Primary Group.

But luckily in the final selection, by pure chance, the wayward candidate was passed over.
