Lothian & Borders Fire Board has revealed that it has placed the insurance cover for its fire appliances up for renewal.
A council spokesman told Insurancetimes that its existing suppliers include Zurich Municipal, Royal & Sun Alliance and Risk Management Partners.
The spokesman added that the fire service is likely to remain with one of these insurers rather than choose a new supplier.
