Markel International has launched a detailed risk exposure profile information system for its US coverholders and their brokers. The service, called Coverholder Profiling, will cover all risks bound to Markel.
It said Coverholder Profiling had been developed over an 18-month period with the support of its 80 US coverholders.
Steve hart, part of Markel's non-marine property division said: "Coverholder Profiling is a major development, which will better enable more parties in the insurance process to assess the variables involved in a risk. This will lead to more accurate pricing, and better client servicing to the benefit of everyone involved."
He said the service had been extremely well received so far. "We are now working on further improving this service and looking at making the information available online, a service we hope to offer in 2004."
