Marsh has completed restructuring its private client division following the sale of a book of rural and commercial motor business to Cox.

A book of rural business was sold to RK Harrison and the renewal rights to a personal lines book was sold to Norwich Union Direct.

Cox will integrate the 1,700 polices, with gross written premium of about £1.3m, into its insure-commercial broking operation.

UK head of private client services at Marsh, Barry O'Neill, said it would now focus on high net worth and private clients with complex and international needs, specialising in mega-yachts. It will also concentrate on the emerging wealth sector, which he described as "tomorrow's high net worth clients".

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
