Medex has revealed a combined optical and dental policy for the public and corporate sectors.
Personal OptiDent, a policy designed for the general public, is a cashback plan that can be bought on its own or as an addition to an existing medical policy.
Policies start from £1.50 per week for individuals, couples or families. The policy includes a 100% refund of the cost of eyesight tests, up to 75% of optical bill costs, up to 75% of regular dental bills, 100% refund of dental bills as a result of an accident and 100% refund of dental bills as a result of an emergency.
Corporate OptiDent is a package designed for the employee. Coverage includes for optical – 100% refund of the cost of eyesight tests, 100% refund of the minimum cost of glasses if a part of the display screen equipment test, 75% refund of optical bill costs other than or in excess of the display screen equipment requirements but excluding disposable contact lenses. For dental, it is 75% refund of regular dental bills, 100% refund on dental bills as a result of an accident and 100% refund of dental bills as a result of an emergency.
Corporate OptiDent prices start from £62.40 per employee. Both policies are open to anyone aged between 18-80 and all pre-existing conditions are accepted. Multiple claims are accepted up to the total limit of the cover. Pinnacle Insurance has underwritten the policies.
