A new commercial broker has been formed following the merger between Thames Insurance Brokers and the insurance department of Prudential Property Investment Managers.
The new property broker - known as Ascent - will focus on corporate commercial risks and will also handle directors' and officers' and fleet risks.
Ascent managing director Andrew Hearn said: "Ascent presents a tremendous opportunity to build upon the skills, experience and reputation of these two industry-leading insurance teams.
"Ascent will rapidly build upon its existing base and capitalise on the expected consolidation within the insurance market through greater regulatory control by acquisition, merger and organic growth."
