Misys and ISIS Technology, a specialist web design company, have formed a partnership to help brokers set up online trading systems.
Under the partnership, ISIS would create an individual website for each broker, which would be fully compatible with Misys systems.
ISIS sales and marketing director Peter Skinner said: "Our research within the industry shows some brokers seeing a fall in the volume of incoming telephone enquiries - a result of consumers using the internet to do initial research as well as obtain online quotes."
"The web offers an opportunity to write more business and to adapt to consumer change," he said.
