Broker-only insurer MMA Insurance has joined forces with insurance software provider CDL to activate EDI on new business and mid-term adjustments for its range of household products.

MMA assistant general manager Tony Wright said: "We are very pleased to be adding this EDI capability on household through CDL. The addition of renewals next year will then enable us to provide a full cycle EDI service.

"We are dedicated to supporting our broker network with an ongoing programme of including MMA products on the major software houses' systems.

"MMA is firmly committed to EDI, believing it will play a strong role in the company's continuing growth and development as an insurer distributing its products solely via its network of intermediaries."

MMA Insurance is a wholly owned subsidiary of French multinational mutual insurer Les Mutuelles du Mans Assurances Group (MMA Group).

CDL (Cheshire Datasystems Ltd) is a provider of end-to-end software solutions for insurance companies operating in a high-volume retail environment.
