Monument UK has appointed Tim Smyth as managing director, with effect from 1 November.
He will have responsibility for developing Monument's four core areas of business; property and casualty, accident, health and travel, and special risks. Monument said he would also work with the group's development team to maximise potential business acquisitions.
Smyth joined Monument in 2000 as sales and marketing director.
Monument UK was established by the Primary Group in early 2003 and is a Lloyd's broker.
