Moody's Investors Service has assigned an A2 (good) insurance financial strength rating to new insurer Wellington Re. The rating outlook is stable.
The agency said the rating reflects "the leading position of the Wellington Re team within the London market, the experienced management and strong underwriting skills at Wellington Re, and the good capitalisation levels of the new entity, with negligible exposure to deterioration on prior year reserves".
